Alisa Li has over fifteen years of experience leading the economic analysis of complex litigation and the pricing and reserve strategy for Fortune 50 companies.  She combines her expertise in financial analysis and passion for technology to deliver superior financial outcomes.

Her accomplishments in the areas of securities and antitrust litigation led to the settlement of some of the most significant cases over the past decade.  Her innovative methods in materiality and market efficiency analysis proved crucial to the $727 Million settlement of three mortgage-backed securities cases and an asset backed securities case from 2011 to 2017.  During the financial crisis, Ms. Li, in her role as Vice President of Pricing Strategy and Analytics, led the update of complex profitability models for an $84 billion portfolio of mortgages at Wells Fargo.  In this fast-paced environment, she leveraged the updated assumptions to recalibrate the risk-based pricing structure and balanced profitability while minimizing losses.  She also developed technological upgrades to executive reporting at GE Consumer Finance and Wells Fargo to assist C-suite executives in a rapidly changing mortgage environment.

Ms. Li has guest lectured as a mortgage-backed securities expert for a Capital Markets course at Columbia Law School.  She was also a speaker at the University of California at Berkeley’s Women in Business Conference.

Ms. Li received her MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley and BA in Economics at the University of California at Irvine.

Previously, Ms. Li was co-founder and partner at Monunomics, an economic consulting firm specializing in class action securities litigation.  At the firm, she developed a technique to analyze the market efficiency of thinly traded mortgage-backed securities.  Her efforts set legal precedence and led to the certification of a class of plaintiffs bringing claims under Section 11 of the Securities Act of 1933.  As a Senior Research Associate at LECG, she assisted BigLaw firms in the successful defense of securities class action, antitrust and trademark infringement allegations against Fortune 500 companies.  As founder and CEO of CourtCasting, Ms. Li combines her litigation expertise and passion for technological innovations to provide unrivaled economic insights.

Ms. Li has been an innovator and leader in developing complex analytic and reporting solutions that significantly increase productivity in the financial sector. She is an expert at executive report automation.  At GE Consumer Finance, Ms. Li modernized reporting systems with her Six Sigma Green Belt training to reduce delivery time by 88% while significantly improving the accuracy of the reports.  As Vice President of Pricing Strategy and Analytics at Wells Fargo, she established a cross-functional reporting process for C-suite executives to empower them to lead the management of an $84 billion mortgage portfolio.  Executives at both companies relied on the accurate and timely delivery of these reports to minimize mortgage losses during the 2007 to 2009 financial crisis.
